Eidos Montréal cuts 75 jobs

Eidos Montréal has parted ways with 75 employees.

According to a LinkedIn update, the company revealed that the completion of one of its mandates necessitated the release of "up to 75 valuable members." They stressed that the departures were not due to the team members' skills or commitment, but rather an inability to reassign them to other projects and services.

The post further mentioned that these skilled professionals would now be seeking new jobs, and Eidos is assisting them during this transition period.

Eidos-Montréal continues to focus on advancing its other projects still in progress.

Acquired by Embracer in 2022, Eidos faced additional workforce reductions in 2023, with over 900 individuals laid off, and another 97 losing their positions in January 2024.

It was also reported today that Cyan Worlds, known for Myst, has reduced its staff by half.
