According to the company, Monster Hunter Wilds set a record for the number of copies sold in its debut month. Previously, no other Capcom game had reached the 10 million copies mark in such a short period.

It's worth noting that the vast majority of the Monster Hunter Wilds copies were sold almost immediately after launch. Within just the first three days, Capcom sold 8 million copies worldwide, setting a record for launch sales speed among its projects.

Capcom itself did not specify how Monster Hunter Wilds sales were distributed across platforms. According to data from Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, the game performed "very well" on PC, while its console sales were slightly below expectations.

Monster Hunter Wilds is already one of the most successful games in Capcom's portfolio. As of December 31, 2024, only six of the company's projects had sales exceeding 10 million copies: Resident Evil Village (10.9 million), Resident Evil 7 biohazard (14.4 million), Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (14.9 million), Resident Evil 2 (15 million), Monster Hunter Rise (16.7 million), and Monster Hunter: World (21.3 million).

Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
