Square Enix has revealed that it plans to close its mobile game, War of Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, on May 30, 2025. The news was shared through a statement on the game's official website, where the company explained that sustaining a satisfactory experience for the app had become challenging. The game made its debut in March 2020.

The company expressed regret over this tough choice, extending gratitude to their player base for the support they have offered since the game's release. The team had focused on delivering a pleasant gaming experience since the launch of War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.

Additionally, the sale of the game’s in-game currency ceased as of the announcement date, March 25, 2025. Players who retain in-game currency can use it until the closure. Although the special shop sales have concluded, the option to exchange Google Play points for in-game items will remain available until April 30, 2025, and events within the game will continue until the termination date.

Recently, Square Enix also terminated support for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on iOS due to an issue that couldn't be resolved. Moreover, the company discontinued Final Fantasy Brave Exvius on mobile in October 2024.
