Ubisoft is reportedly putting an "anti-harassment plan" into action for developers who participated in the creation of Assassin's Creed Shadows.

According to PCGamesN, a Ubisoft insider revealed to the French network BFMTV that this initiative aims to discourage the staff from publicly discussing their contributions to the game on social platforms.

The source also mentioned the 'comité social et économique', which is a body created by Ubisoft Canada employees.

"This comes from Canada," the employee stated (translated by PCGamesN). "A team is responsible for monitoring networks and responds swiftly if there is a targeted attack. This approach is much more rigorous than past efforts."

The report indicates that a team will supervise social media activity closely, and legal measures are ready to be taken against proven harassment.

A spokesperson from Ubisoft told PCGamesN, "Our utmost priority is ensuring our employees' safety."

The spokesperson added, "While we respect that social media channels belong to team members personally, safeguarding our employees, both offline and online, is crucial. Therefore, we provide guidance on handling social media, digital safety, and the overall wellbeing of our team members.

"We also offer resources to help avoid and guard against online harassment, given that some of our teams have regrettably experienced this."

Earlier, this article erroneously stated that Ubisoft had teamed up with Canada's Communications Security Establishment. The actual reference was to a group formed by Ubisoft Canada employees. This has since been corrected.
