Sporty Group has expanded its operations by opening a new game development center in the United Kingdom, with Jon Hare, formerly the CEO and creative director of Tower Studios, heading the project.

Hare is overseeing a team of 17 who have been actively involved in developing the Sociable Soccer series, which Sporty Games acquired in July last year.

The team is working on a new soccer game, expected to be free-to-play, which is set to be released later in the year.

"Collaborating with Sporty Group to establish this studio is exhilarating and ensures our position as a leading creator and distributor of sports games with a global reach," said Hare. "We have assembled a skilled and motivated team and are continuously seeking new talent."

He added, "Having the chance to work with such skilled and similarly dedicated developers who share my commitment to enhancing sports games is a dream project. We are eager to unveil more about our upcoming releases soon."

Greg Parsons, Sporty Group's VP of business development, marketing, and media, commented, "Jon and his team boast a solid history of producing highly acclaimed games with broad appeal.

"Integrating this expertise into our existing Sporty team will speed up the development of our gaming portfolio and strengthen our vision for a diverse and globally impactful entertainment hub."

Sporty Group operates as a sports media, gaming, and social platform, managing the SportyBet brand and sports app Sporty.com, as well as owning and managing SportyTV.
