Konami has entered into a partnership with Bloober Team for a new "joint project" rooted in an undisclosed intellectual property from Konami

The developer behind the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team, is undertaking a new joint project with Konami. This initiative marks another collaboration between the two companies.
According to a statement, while the specifics remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that the project will be a video game drawing on Konami's properties, with Konami maintaining its role as the publisher.
Bloober Team, known for its expertise in horror-focused narratives, was chosen by Konami to reinvigorate its well-known Silent Hill series. The successful partnership during the creation of Silent Hill 2 Remake laid the groundwork for this continued collaboration.
For Bloober, this new agreement fits its plan to broaden its "development division within a first-party framework."
Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober, remarked, "Our partnership with Konami has yielded great results, as shown by Silent Hill 2's success." He also expressed anticipation about sharing what's in development, although details remain scarce for now. "We are optimistic that our collaboration will thrill fans, and we look forward to the right moment to share our upcoming unique project with players."
At the end of January, Konami announced that the remake of Silent Hill 2, the first main entry since Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012, had surpassed 2 million units sold.
Furthermore, Konami's financial outcomes for the nine-month period concluding on December 31, 2024, revealed a 22% boost in revenues and a 38% increase in profits.
