The Room 8 Group has revealed the appointment of two individuals to their executive team
Room 8 Group, a services provider, has unveiled new executive appointments following a broadening of its technology and game development services.
Guillaume Carmona has been elevated from VP of productions to VP of game development, where he will concentrate on steering Room 8's creative services, enhancing the quality of production, and pushing strategic efforts to deliver outstanding project results.
Previously, Carmona spent 14 years at Ubisoft, including a four-year stint as studio director at Ubisoft Montpellier.
Yann Le Tensorer is now the VP of technology. In this capacity, he will aim to improve production processes, nurture creativity, and drive forward the company's research and development endeavors.
Tensorer has a nearly 20-year history with Ubisoft, having held various roles. He is also a co-founder of the French development company Tiwak, which Ubisoft acquired in 2004.
"As the industry changes, we're enhancing our leadership and operational frameworks to better support our partners," remarked Room 8 CCO Julien Proux. "With Guillaume as VP of game production and Yann as VP of technology, we're strengthening our dedication to both creative excellence and technical innovation."
Regarding Room 8's broadening of its technology and game development, the company is shifting from a focus on mobile, PC, and console development towards a "partner-centric" approach which emphasizes customized solutions to tackle distinct challenges.
The organization has also disclosed plans to merge its Solid Bash and Dragons Lake brands under the Room 8 Group banner.
"For over 13 years, we've delivered our creative and technical expertise in game development, technology, art, and QA for major AAA and AA titles," stated Room 8 CEO Anna Kozlova. "This transition is not only about expanding our services; it's about ensuring we provide comprehensive, start-to-finish solutions that effectively support our partners at every developmental phase."
