Former employees of Belka have established a new mobile game development company called Studio42

A group of former employees from Belka Games have come together to establish Studio42, a new mobile game developer based in Cyprus.
Leading the new venture is Alexandr Boganov, previously the CEO of Belka, who collaborates with Ivan Larionov, the former head of development, now COO and co-founder, and Pavel Sudakov, the previous head of R&D, who assumes the role of producer and co-founder.
As reported by PocketGamer, Studio42 aims to initially concentrate on creating casual puzzle games, with their debut release anticipated in the near future.
The studio described its aspiration for smaller teams, allowing for rapid development of innovative games without the complexities of large-scale operations. They noted the importance of collaboration, emphasizing that the strength of a game lies in its developers, not just in the concept.
Larionov expressed enthusiasm for the new studio, mentioning they possess the knowledge, ambition, and excellent partners needed for success. With a dedicated team, they are working on a new project scheduled for imminent launch, with more endeavors on the horizon.
In May 2024, Belka Games reduced its workforce by 33 employees.
