After dedicating over a decade to the Finnish game developer, Ville Rauma has stepped down from his role as COO at Fingersoft.

Rauma announced his departure on LinkedIn, yet did not disclose his reasons. He mentioned he is "looking at opportunities, contemplating joining a start-up, or establishing a new company, but no final choice has been made."

"I feel deeply grateful for the incredible team and partners I've collaborated with at Fingersoft," he expressed.

Reflecting on his journey, Rauma noted, "When I began, we had a single live game and a team of 12. Now, there are multiple live titles and revenue has doubled. The team has grown into a complete game development studio with 100 experts."

He emphasized that this achievement was not a matter of luck but the outcome of consistent dedication from everyone involved.

Initially joining Fingersoft in 2014 as a full stack developer and product owner, Rauma later advanced to COO in 2016, serving in that capacity for eight years. He also temporarily acted as CEO from July to December 2019.

His career in gaming began in 2007 with a role as a software designer at HappyWise, a digital agency.

Rauma's experience also includes his time as a product manager at Tuonela Productions from June 2008 to March 2011, and as a game programmer at LudoCraft.

In a related development, Fingersoft previously laid off 14 staff members last October due to a "significant decrease in ad revenue," affecting various departments such as development, marketing, community, and ASO.
