A team of former top executives from Belka Games, led by Alexander Bogdanov, has opened a new gaming studio

The name is Studio 42. It plans to focus on creating casual puzzle games for mobile platforms.

"We love simple ideas. Our approach to them is reminiscent of working on origami. A few deft moves, and there's a game you can't put down," the studio announced on social media.

More details about Studio 42 are not available yet. According to LinkedIn, in addition to the three co-founders, the studio has four other employees. All previously worked in various positions at Belka Games.

As for the co-founders, they are:

• Alexander Bogdanov — before launching Studio 42, he led Belka Games for more than seven years, and prior to that, he was head of studios at Playrix and Game Insight.
• Ivan Larionov — former head of development at Belka Games, worked for over two years on the Snapchat gaming platform.
• Pavel Sudakov — was in charge of the R&D department at Belka Games for five years, and before that, like Larionov, worked for several years at Snap Inc.
