Astro Bot and Helldivers 2 secure major victories at the 2025 DICE Awards

During the 28th DICE Awards ceremony, Team Asobi and Arrowhead Studios were prominent achievers, particularly with the game Astro Bot, which was named Game of the Year.

Astro Bot excelled by winning five awards, such as family game of the year and honors in animation, technology, and game design. Helldivers 2 was recognized as the best in the action and online game categories, and it also gained awards for music and audio design.

The indie game Balatro from LocalThunk enjoyed success with three awards, capturing titles like mobile and strategy/simulation game of the year, alongside an accolade for outstanding achievement for an independent game.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle by MachineGames secured adventure game of the year, earning additional honors in character portrayal and storytelling.

Facilitated by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, this event features vote participation from over 30,000 of its members.

Additionally, veteran Don James from Nintendo of America was celebrated with the AIAS Lifetime Achievement Award, while Ted Price, founder and former CEO of Insomniac Games, was admitted into the AIAS Hall of Fame.
