Hisashi Koinuma has been named the new CEO of Koei Tecmo

Hisashi Koinuma is slated to become the new CEO of Koei Tecmo.

Effective April 1, 2025, Koinuma will transition into the roles of CEO, director, and president, ascending from his current position as COO.

Yoichi Erikawa, a co-founder and the current CEO, will transition to the positions of chairperson of Koei Tecmo Holdings and representative director. Meanwhile, Keiko Erikawa, the current chairperson and representative director, will take on the title of director and chairman emeritus.

The company further announced the creation of a new subsidiary, Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance, which will concentrate on investment activities.

The organization stated, "Our group aims to become the world’s number one digital entertainment company under the spirit of ‘creativity and contribution.’ We have been gradually preparing for the transition to the next generation of management through discussions in the Nomination and Compensation Committee."

In pursuit of enhanced growth and profitability, the company has resolved to adopt a new management structure starting in fiscal year 2025.

Recently, Koei Tecmo resolved an intellectual property infringement case with Youzu, in which Youzu admitted and apologized for infringing upon Koei Tecmo's titles, Nobunaga's Ambition and Taiko Risshiden.
