Blind Squirrel Games has announced its acquisition of Distributed Development

Blind Squirrel Games has expanded by obtaining the Colombian studio, Distributed Development.

Now operating as Blind Squirrel Colombia, this newly acquired branch will begin by working on joint projects. The staff count is projected to reach between 25 and 30 by year-end.

The company's statement indicated that this strategic move boosts its presence alongside its existing teams in the United States and New Zealand, establishing a global network for cost-efficient AAA game production.

The acquisition enhances BSG's creative prowess, particularly by incorporating a proprietary AI tool tailored for the Unreal Engine. This innovation is intended to heighten project efficiency and simplify development processes, enabling the delivery of superior gaming experiences while maximizing resource use.
