Voldex purchases the Roblox game Brookhaven
The life simulation game "Brookhaven" on Roblox has been acquired by the user-generated content studio Voldex.
According to Pocket Gamer, Voldex purchased the game for an undisclosed amount with funds provided by Raine Partners. Additional financial support came from Makers Fund, QIA, MIT, Tirtra Ventures, and Lalotte Ventures.
Shamrock Capital facilitated debt financing for this acquisition, with contributions from Ares Management Credit funds and Cadma Capital Partners.
Alex Singer, CEO and founder of Voldex, described the acquisition as transformational for the company. Singer expressed gratitude, stating, "We're honored [Brookhaven creator] Wolfpaq has entrusted us with Brookhaven. We're committed to being great stewards of the incredible world he has created and the vibrant community that makes it special."
Voldex's Roblox portfolio also includes Driving Empire, Zo Samurai, and Ultimate Football. The latter was purchased in April 2024 through a "multi-million dollar deal," as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.
The studio maintains a diverse range of games from platforms like Fortnite Creative and Minecraft.
