Iron Galaxy has dismissed 66 employees as a measure to safeguard its "long-term survival"
Sixty-six staff members have been dismissed from Iron Galaxy.
In a message shared on LinkedIn, the studio mentioned it had made efforts to "keep teams intact" but had exhausted options in light of the "slow recovery".
"Today, Iron Galaxy is letting go of some developers and support personnel. In total, the workforce is reduced by 66. This decision was made as a last resort for us," the statement revealed.
"It's a decision we do not take lightly in order to secure our long-term viability."
The company expressed its dedication to "supporting partners in game development" and to "finding innovative ways to support the industry and its recovery".
"Currently, our focus is on assisting our teammates as they seek new opportunities. We appreciate their efforts with us. Our utmost support will be given to them in their job search. Please consider them if you need talented individuals. We regret their departure," the statement concluded.
Adam Boyes resigned as CEO of Iron Galaxy in August after an eight-year tenure at the company.
He ascended to CEO in June 2016, having previously held influential positions at PlayStation, Capcom, Midway Games, and Electronic Arts.
The trend of job reductions, which started the previous year, persists in 2025, with over 700 developers losing jobs in January alone. This includes layoffs and shutdowns at Freejam, Splash Damage, Piranha Games, Jar of Sparks, alongside 185 positions at Ubisoft.
Additionally, we previously reported that ProbablyMonsters has announced further layoffs.
