There are reports that ProbablyMonsters has commenced another series of layoffs.

According to GameDeveloper, LinkedIn updates from former employees indicate project terminations, with many employees indicating they are seeking new positions.

A game designer remarked, "My most recent project at ProbablyMonsters has been closed so I am looking for a new role," while a former QA lead noted, "my team has been unfortunately laid off and I'm looking for my next role".

When contacted, ProbablyMonsters reportedly did not provide a comment. Details on the number of jobs affected remain vague.

This follows a previous round of layoffs in late October 2024, when approximately 50 positions were cut.

The trend of layoffs has persisted into 2025, with January alone seeing over 700 industry jobs lost. Affected companies include Freejam, Splash Damage, Piranha Games, and Jar of Sparks, along with 185 jobs cut by Ubisoft.
