Quantic Dream's 2013 supernatural action-adventure game, Beyond: Two Souls, is being adapted for television. Elliot Page, who starred in the original game, has obtained the rights through their production company, Pageboy Productions.

"Working on the game was an incredibly challenging and rewarding experience," Page expressed to Deadline. "The narrative's depth and emotional complexity offer a great starting point for developing a new version that appeals to both fans and those new to the story."

The game follows Jodie Bell, a young woman with psychic powers and a supernatural companion named Aiden, as she navigates government intrigue through the United States Department of Paranormal Activity. Although the TV series is in early stages, it remains unclear if Willem Dafoe will reprise his role from the game.

David Cage, the writer and director at Quantic Dream, stated, "We are delighted to team up again with Elliot Page for this endeavor. His performance in the game was remarkable, and he is the ideal choice to bring this story to a new medium with similar enthusiasm. Beyond: Two Souls touched millions worldwide with Jodie and Aiden's story, and Elliot's talent will undoubtedly bring a distinctive quality to the TV adaptation."

Originally released in 2013 exclusively on PlayStation, Beyond: Two Souls was made available on PC in 2015. As noted by Quantic Dream CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière on LinkedIn, the game has reached sales of over 6 million copies globally.

Pageboy Productions is working on three other projects, including The Darkness Outside Us, a science fiction film based on Eliot Schrefer's young adult novel, and PowderKeg, a TV mini-series based on a real-life homicide associated with The Jenny Jones Show.

Matt Jordan Smith, Pageboy’s Head of Development and Production, told Deadline, "This adaptation will respect the game's heritage while offering new perspectives. Exploring themes of survival and the impact of split-second decisions on our lives and others is central to the tale."
