Humble unveils new bundles aimed at aiding fire relief efforts in Los Angeles
In response to the recent catastrophic fires in Los Angeles, Humble has launched several Humble Bundles aimed at assisting those affected. The company is contributing $200,000 through its Humble Forward Fund in collaboration with Direct Relief, to aid in supplying healthcare, food, financial aid, mental health support, and educational access to the disaster's victims.
Kamini Tiwari, Vice President for Social Impact at Humble, expressed, "The devastating fires in Los Angeles have placed thousands of families in difficult circumstances. Our sympathies go out to all affected by this calamity. Disasters like this can severely impact individuals, families, and whole communities."
Humble is dedicated to offering substantial assistance through partnerships with organizations including Direct Relief, World Central Kitchen (WCK), Save the Children, International Medical Corps, and the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC). Together, these efforts aim to significantly benefit those impacted by the fires.
The available bundles feature software and book collections, offering items like Hellboy comics and a range of courses to help developers learn game-building using Unreal Engine 5.
To date, a total of $340,000 has been accumulated from Humble's Forward Fund donation and a share of funds raised in December for Save the Children and BINC by Humble users.
Humble Bundle operates under IGN Entertainment, a section of Ziff Davis that also encompasses GamesIndustry.biz, IGN, and MapGenie.
