Annapurna has named former Netflix executive Leanne Loombe as the head of its games division

Annapurna Interactive has named Leanne Loombe, a former executive at Netflix Games, as its new head of games.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Loombe will manage the company’s operations in publishing, development, and creative initiatives.

She will be reporting to the president of interactive and new media, Hector Sanchez, who rejoined Annapurna last June after a tenure at Epic Games.

Loombe expressed her enthusiasm on LinkedIn, stating, "I've always admired Annapurna's thoughtful approach in supporting developers with strong creative visions and enabling them to make high-quality games that resonate with players."

She described the role as an unparalleled opportunity to foster a development-friendly environment and is eager to contribute to Annapurna’s narrative-driven future.

Sanchez noted: "Not many leaders have Leanne's extensive experience across QA, publishing, and game development. Her deep understanding of game creation makes her an ideal collaborator for our developers."

Before this, Loombe was with Riot Games, leading third and second party development at Riot Forge. She transitioned from there in 2021 to become vice president of external games at Netflix.

Earlier in her career, she spent six years at Electronic Arts, serving as lead producer at Criterion Games and executive producer at Ghost Games.
