Finalists Announced for the IGF Awards 2025

The finalists for the 27th annual Independent Games Festival (IGF) have been announced by GDC 2025.

Nearly 500 entries were meticulously reviewed by the jury, who selected finalists for categories such as Audio, Visual, Student, Nuovo, Design, Narrative, and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize.

The game "Consume Me," developed by Jenny Jiao Hsia and AP Thomson, received top honors with nominations in five areas: Excellence in Design, Excellence in Narrative, Excellence in Visual Arts, the Nuovo Award, and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize.

"Despelote," created by Julián Cordero and Sebastian Valbuena, earned four nominations including Excellence in Audio, Excellence in Narrative, the Nuovo Award, and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize.

The IGF is part of the Game Developers Conference (GDC), which will take place at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco from March 17-21. The winners are set to be unveiled during the IGF Awards on March 26, with a live broadcast on Twitch.
