Nintendo has officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has unveiled the Switch 2, with a planned launch in 2025.
The company's YouTube video introduces new features such as detachable Joy-Cons with magnetic attachment, a USB-C connection, and a fresh button on the right Joy-Con.
Previously, in November, Nintendo announced backwards compatibility for the Switch 2 along with the continuation of Nintendo Online services.
The recent statement from Nintendo confirms that both physical and digital games will mostly be backward compatible, although some games might face compatibility issues on the new system.
Further updates are expected to be posted on Nintendo's website, with an in-depth presentation planned for a Nintendo Direct event scheduled for April 2.
