Microsoft plans to reduce its workforce, though the exact number of employees affected has not been disclosed
Microsoft is proceeding with more job cuts, this time affecting its gaming, security, and sales teams.
According to Business Insider, a company representative stated the layoffs would impact a limited number of employees but did not disclose the exact number.
The company clarified that these dismissals are not linked to last week's reductions aimed at those not meeting performance expectations.
The spokesperson remarked, as quoted by CNBC, "At Microsoft, we prioritize top-performing talent. We are committed to personal development and appropriate action is taken when performance is lacking."
Previously, Microsoft eliminated 1,900 roles from its gaming sector and conducted another layoff of 650 employees in September 2024 as reported by GamesIndustry.biz and GamesIndustry.biz.
