According to Kim, during this period, KRAFTON reviewed over a thousand studios for potential M&A. A large number did not pass the selection process. The company’s financial documents reveal that in 2023, it invested in 11 teams, and from January to September 2024, it invested in 13 teams.

In 2025, KRAFTON plans to continue its aggressive M&A strategy. The company expects to spend over 200 billion won ($136 million) to invest in at least 12 studios within the year.

“We have ambitious plans to scale our business,” Kim stated.

One of KRAFTON's latest major deals was the acquisition of Tango Gameworks, known for games like Hi-Fi RUSH, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and The Evil Within. The cost of the acquisition was not disclosed.
