The multiplayer mode from Ghost of Tsushima is set to become an anime, with the adaptation inspired by Legends. Takanobu Mizuno is slated to direct, with the production managed by Kamikaze Douga in partnership with Aniplex. This news was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

This new series is scheduled to debut on Crunchyroll, a platform owned by Sony, in the year 2027.

Asad Qizilbash, who leads PlayStation Productions, commented, "Ghost of Tsushima's immersive universe and the mythological allure of its Legends mode make it an ideal subject for this anime project."

He also stated that Aniplex is an excellent collaborator for transforming the renowned video game by Sucker Punch Productions into an exceptional anime experience.

In related developments, Ghost of Tsushima is being turned into a film, directed by Chad Stahelski of John Wick fame, with Sucker Punch Productions taking on the role of executive producer.

Additionally, a sequel to the original 2020 action-adventure game is under production. The sequel, titled Ghost of Yōtei, was announced at the Game Awards last month and is expected to be released on the PS5 in 2025.
