The iconic composer of Heroes of Might & Magic has been brought on board for Olden Era
The studio Unfrozen has announced that the music for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era will be composed by Paul Romero, the series' long-standing composer.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era
Romero has contributed to all the previous installments of Heroes of Might & Magic, as well as several titles from the series that gave birth to it, Might & Magic. He has been working on soundtracks for the franchise since 1995, the year the very first Heroes of Might & Magic was released.
Alongside Romero, another renowned composer, Cris Velasco, will also be working on the music for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era. In the series, he is known for his soundtrack for Heroes of Might & Magic VI. Velasco has also composed music for Lords of the Fallen, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Bloodborne, Mass Effect 2 and 3, Overwatch, the original God of War trilogy, and many other games.
Unfrozen shared that Heroes Orchestra will also contribute to Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era. This is a collective of professional musicians who regularly perform concerts featuring pieces from various games in the series. They will be handling the orchestration of the music created by Romero and Velasco.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is expected to launch for PC in early access in the second quarter of 2025.
