Connections and Palworld — the most searched games on Google in 2024
The Google team has compiled a list of the most popular search queries of the outgoing year. In the "Games" category, the leader was Connections—a word puzzle from The New York Times, where you need to group words by meaning.

Connections is the only game on Google's list that also appeared in a similar top list in 2023. Back then, it ranked third.
The second place in 2024 went to Palworld. Recall that this game by Pocketpair became one of the year's major phenomena: within just eight hours of release, it sold over a million copies. A month later, Palworld's audience exceeded 25 million people, with 15 million purchasing it on Steam and 10 million exploring it through the Game Pass subscription.
