Nintendo has decided to delay the public release of its Alarmo clock, which was initially scheduled for January in Japan.

A statement from the company reveals that the delay affects sales to those who are not Nintendo Switch Online members, caused by challenges with production and inventory.

Although December pre-orders have been pushed to February 2025, Nintendo has not specified how long the delay will continue for Japanese buyers.

The statement explained, "We had intended to begin selling to non-subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online in mid-February 2025, but due to production and inventory concerns, this has been postponed."

"The launch of sales is postponed at retail stores across the country. We apologize for not fulfilling your expectations. The rescheduled date for the sales launch will be announced once determined."

The Alarmo clock's popularity in Japan was such that even subscribers had to participate in a lottery to purchase one.

As of now, there is no indication that these issues are occurring in the US and Europe.
