Sweet Bandits, the studio behind Deceive Inc, has announced its closure

Sweet Bandits Studios, known for the game Deceive Inc, has revealed its closure.

Philippe Pelletier Baribault, the studio's co-founder and lead designer, conveyed this news in a forum message. Known as 'Baribandit,' he explained that the studio has hit a "breaking point" and can no longer function.

"It's hard to deliver this news: The Sweet Bandits team has concluded," he stated. "After striving extensively to bring Deceive Inc to success, we have encountered a barrier preventing us from continuing this journey."

Baribault expressed gratitude to the community, noting, "Our partners at Tripwire Interactive are exploring future options to keep the game we cherish alive. More details will follow in time. Meanwhile, game servers and access remain unchanged."

Tripwire was the publisher for Deceive Inc when it was introduced in March 2023. Sweet Bandits originated in 2016, debuting with Coffence in 2018.
