Ryosuke Yoshida departs from Ouka Studios for a new role at Square Enix
Ryosuke Yoshida, previously a director at Ouka Studios, has left the company now owned by NetEase and has taken a position at Square Enix.
The announcement of his departure was made public via social media, noting that his resignation took effect on October 31, and he began working at the Japanese gaming company in December. However, his specific role there has yet to be revealed.
Yoshida co-directed the game Visions of Mana with Kenji Ozawa. This title, published by Square Enix, came out last August.
Earlier in the year, reports surfaced that NetEase planned to close Ouka Studios, which had been established back in 2020.
Before joining Ouka Studios when it was formed, Yoshida had spent more than ten years working with Capcom.
Reflecting on his time at Ouka, Yoshida remarked, "We were a new studio, but we were able to release Visions of Mana. I am grateful to the development team and NetEase for their support. It was a very good experience."
