Approximately 40 employees have been let go from Lilith Games, a Chinese development studio with a staff of about 100.

As indicated by Youxi Chaguan, GameLook, and highlighted by PocketGamer, the layoffs come after Project Party, their life simulation game, had an underwhelming beta earlier this year.

Reports from the region suggest that the game's producer might have been removed from the project as well.

Although the game is still in development, it is undergoing changes with the remaining 60 personnel at the company.

Established in 2013 in Shanghai, China, Lilith Games released its first game, Soul Hunters, a year later in 2014, and ventured into both game development and publishing by 2016.

The company also created its own publishing label, Farlight Games, in 2022.
