A group including a children's author and specialists in film and music have launched Pigs Will Fly Studios
An innovative game development studio has begun operations in Sweden, launched by individuals with backgrounds in diverse creative sectors such as music, film, and literature.
Known as Pigs Will Fly Studios, the company is situated in Jönköping and established by Oskar Källner, Albin Norling, and Ingemar Åberg. It currently consists of a team of seven professionals, with intentions to expand in the future.
The studio is set to introduce an action game rooted in the Children of the Phoenix series, a science fiction saga authored by Källner. The storyline involves two siblings who unravel the truth that their mother is an extraterrestrial, propelling them into a cosmic conflict.
Beyond its focus on video games, Pigs Will Fly offers music production capabilities. These are housed within a cutting-edge recording facility located in the historic courthouse of Jönköping.
This facility will manage recording, mastering, and mixing processes, including capabilities for Dolby Atmos, aiming to serve clients in gaming, cinema, and music sectors.
"This is an extraordinary venture," remarked Källner, the CEO. "We're thrilled to develop a game inspired by my books. Our founding team brings a wealth of creativity from various domains, offering us the potential to craft something that exceeds its individual components. Our goal is to become one of Sweden’s premier game studios."
