IO Interactive has "terminated its partnership" with MMA fighter Conor McGregor "effective immediately"

IO Interactive has ended its association with Conor McGregor following a civil case outcome, where the court favored a woman who had accused the fighter of sexual assault.
Reacting to the recent judgment, the studio announced its decision to terminate its partnership with McGregor immediately.
Previously, McGregor had been featured as a character in Hitman's The Disruptor, which included multiple missions and a downloadable content pack revolving around him.
The studio stated via a post on X/Twitter, "Considering the court's recent decision concerning Conor McGregor, IO Interactive is ending its collaboration with him effective immediately."
"This issue is of utmost importance to us, and its consequences cannot be overlooked. As a result, we will start removing all content related to Mr. McGregor from our platforms beginning today."
