The 2024 Breakthrough Cohort from BAFTA features game development talent hailing from the United Kingdom, the United States, and India
The 2024 BAFTA Breakthrough program has acknowledged several video game creators, including those associated with titles like Black Myth: Wukong, Baldur's Gate 3, and Pacific Drive.
This initiative is BAFTA's premier platform for fostering emerging talent in the sectors of games, television, and film in the UK, US, and India. It provides year-long support and opportunities for professional development.
For 2024, the UK Breakthrough participants were picked by five expert sub-committees featuring professionals from film, television, technology, unscripted content, and games, encompassing BAFTA and Netflix representatives.
The recognized game developers and performers include:
