Starform, the developer behind Metalstorm, has successfully raised $6 million

Starform, the team behind the game Metalstorm, has successfully secured $6 million in financing, with Bitkraft Ventures leading the recent investment round and support from Dune Ventures.
The capital will be allocated to enhance their 5v5 aerial combat game and to expand their team in Seattle.
In recent months, Starform has filled several prominent positions, including hiring Stefan Ramirez as COO, who previously managed operations at King studios. Additional key appointments are Chris Hager, ex-Riot, as director of production; Jeremy Friesen, former principal engineer at The Pokémon Company; and Jesse Roberts, leading social media marketing, who was formerly a senior digital marketing manager at Evil Geniuses.
Launched through the Epic Games Store and on mobile platforms in November 2023, Metalstorm has amassed a player base of three million since its debut.
Malte Barth, a founding partner at Bitkraft, expressed that Starform's approach to cross-platform, accessible multiplayer gaming is very appealing. He noted, "Metalstorm showcases how engaging team-based play, combined with innovative design, fosters significant, enduring player connections. Starform displays a scalable economic model, and we're thrilled to assist them in introducing this experience globally."
The company, established in 2019 by former developers from King and Z2, has gathered $13 million in total investment, which includes $5 million raised in 2021.
