GeForce Now to introduce a 100-hour gameplay cap
The GeForce Now cloud gaming subscription service by Nvidia is introducing a new playtime cap of 100 hours each month.
This restriction will be applied to the redesigned Performance and Ultimate tiers but won't impact Founder memberships, as outlined by Nvidia on Reddit. According to Nvidia, this limit is sufficient for 94% of users.
Playtime not used can be carried over to the next month, with a cap of 15 hours. Nevertheless, members' playtime bank cannot exceed 115 hours at any month's start.
Additional hours are available for purchase. An extra 15 hours costs $2.99 for Performance tier subscribers and $5.99 for those on the Ultimate tier. Performance plans are priced at $9.99 per month, while Ultimate plans cost $19.99 monthly.
Current subscribers as of December 31, 2024, will not experience these changes until January 2026. However, the new regulations will be implemented for any new sign-ups starting January 2025.
