Two multiplayer titles from Hi-Rez Studios, Realm Royale Reforged and Divine Knockout, are set to cease operations on February 17, 2025. The shutdowns were disclosed through nearly identical statements on both games' Steam pages by developers Evil Mojo Games and Red Beard Games, divisions of Hi-Rez Studios.

The developers pointed to a recent restructuring of their parent company, Hi-Rez, as a primary factor for the decision. This reorganization, reported earlier, is expected to bring about some job cuts at the company.

Following the closure, the games will be removed from online stores, preventing further purchases of the games or associated content like downloadable content. Although the games were recently made free-to-play, players can engage with them until the servers go offline.

In a statement regarding the restructuring, Hi-Rez CEO Stewart Chisam described the changes as "difficult but necessary" to maintain the company's longevity, particularly focusing on positioning SMITE 2 for future sustainability after a thorough strategy and operations review.
