Asmongold has been suspended from Twitch due to a violation of the platform's "hateful conduct" policy
Popular streamer Zach "Asmongold" Hoyt has received a suspension from Twitch.
The platform's decision followed his alleged remarks stating that Palestinians emerge from an "inferior culture," a comment that came under scrutiny. Hoyt, who has garnered a massive following exceeding five million across Twitch, has publicly apologized on X/Twitter since the incident. He expressed a commitment to improve his understanding and said, "Of course no one deserves to have their life destroyed even if they do things or have views I find regressive. My bad."
Twitch released a statement emphasizing that the company's actions align with their community guidelines, particularly focusing on policies against hateful conduct.
Hoyt responded to criticism from a follower who suggested he broke an unwritten rule by apologizing. He stated, "I don't mind apologizing if it's something I think I'm actually wrong about. Given the amount of times I've gotten hate for things and never apologized should be proof enough of that."
