FunPlus, an interactive entertainment company, has unveiled a new facility in Lisbon, Portugal, known as Studio Ellipsis.

This new entity is spearheaded by Alexandre Amancio, formerly associated with Assassin's Creed, who aims to develop fresh intellectual properties and expand into transmedia ventures, encompassing comics, television shows, and films beyond just gaming.

Studio Ellipsis intends to innovate on FunPlus' intellectual properties, utilizing a mix of multi-platform game creation and narrative-driven transmedia content.

Amancio commented on the changing landscape of entertainment consumption, noting that audiences are increasingly active and seek deeply engaging experiences across various platforms.

"Studio Ellipsis is our answer to these evolving patterns, enabling fans to delve deeper into beloved universes while also inventing fresh intellectual properties that captivate and inspire, allowing them to partake in the journey," he stated.

Lisbon was chosen as the base for Studio Ellipsis due to its growing status as a creative and tech center. FunPlus plans to establish over 50 new positions within the next three years.
