King inaugurates a new office in Berlin
King has inaugurated a new office in Berlin.
Having established a presence in Berlin since 2014, this new location is positioned "on the sunny side of the river Spree." Eric Bowman, the Chief Technology Officer, indicated that this German office will be engaged in a variety of initiatives.
"Previously, specific game teams were assigned to individual offices, but this strategy has evolved," Bowman explained to mobilegamer.biz.
"Our game development teams are now distributed across all our office sites, allowing our skilled professionals to operate from their preferred locations, including Berlin."
Bowman mentioned that the company currently has about 2,000 staff members across several countries, including the UK, Sweden, Spain, Germany, and the United States.
He highlighted that King’s Berlin team has contributed to significant projects like On Fire and Daily Bonus in Candy Crush Saga. The Berlin office has also played a crucial role in major ventures such as All Stars, which are vital to King’s operations.
"We're thrilled to be part of Germany's gaming sector, and opening a Berlin office was driven by the exceptional talent based here," he added. "We aimed to create a wonderful environment for our employees to collaborate, and this new office provides just that."
