In just four years, Genshin Impact has generated over $5 billion in China alone (including third-party Android stores)
Genshin Impact continues to impress with its financial performance. According to analysts from Niko Partners, the mobile version of the game has generated $5 billion in revenue in China alone since its launch in 2020. Considering the international markets, its total mobile revenue could reach $10 billion by 2025.

It's worth noting that Niko Partners' analysts, unlike other analytical platforms, included data not only from the Chinese App Store but also from other Android platforms in their assessments. This approach allowed for a more comprehensive understanding of the game's revenues in the country for the first time. It should be noted that Google Play is unavailable in China, and the majority of Android users download applications through third-party stores.
Despite the impressive commercial results, analysts report that the game's annual revenue is declining. However, the specific rate of this decline is not disclosed. Niko Partners attributes this trend to two factors:
- the developer of Genshin Impact — miHoYo (also known as HoYoverse) — releases new titles that compete with each other;
- the overall increase in competition within the niche.
