The social network X, previously known as Twitter, is once again operational in Brazil after being blocked for over a month.

The Brazilian supreme court has announced via a statement (translated with the help of CNBC) that conditions set by Minister Alexandre de Moraes were met by Elon Musk's firm, allowing the platform's use to resume.

In a message posted on its Global Government Affairs platform, X expressed enthusiasm about resuming operations in Brazil, emphasizing the significance of providing access to millions of Brazilian users while promoting the right to free expression within the legal framework.

The prohibition on X stemmed from an inquiry into whether the platform, along with Musk, contributed to spreading hate speech and misinformation in violation of Brazilian laws.

Musk's refusal to adhere to local requirements, such as appointing a legal representative for X in the country, resulted in the platform's block on August 31.

Previously, Brazilian indie developers discussed the ramifications of X's restriction on their activities. Luciana Guerrero, from Rogue Snail, emphasized the necessity of Musk complying with the judiciary's demands to prevent a dangerous precedent.

Guerrero stated: "Twitter/X is a crucial channel for global communication, but ignoring Brazilian legislation is unacceptable. Upholding legal mandates is essential to avoid setting a risky standard that could undermine legal accountability in the country."
