Epic Games has enhanced the parental controls for both Fortnite and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), enabling parents to monitor their children's playtime and establish time limits
Epic Games has launched two new parental control features aimed at aiding parents in overseeing their child's engagement with Fortnite and UEFN. These include the introduction of time limit controls and time reports.
Epic's announcement details that the time reports function provides a daily summary for parents, showing how much time their children are spending on Fortnite and UEFN via a dedicated dashboard.
The time limit controls enable parents to restrict daily playtime, define specific playing hours within a day, and decide if their children can request additional gaming time.
Epic elaborates, "Upon reaching the predefined time limit, children will receive in-game alerts when they have 30 minutes of playtime left in Fortnite and UEFN."
"Upon exhausting their time, users will not be able to access Fortnite or UEFN again until the next day or a new play window, unless granted additional time by a parent."
These controls are applicable across all devices associated with the same account.
In other news, it was revealed that Epic Games has filed a new legal case against Google and Samsung. The issue revolves around Samsung's Auto Blocker, which Epic claims hinders access to other app stores, conflicting with a jury decision from the previous year.
