A new game development company, The Three Thousands, has commenced operations in Melbourne. The studio is helmed by industry veterans from EA: Joseph Donoghue, Nikhil Kurian, and Benjamin Dawe.

Joseph Donoghue, serving as CEO, previously held the position of general manager at EA Australia. Nikhil Kurian, the CPO, was the Racing general manager at EA Melbourne, while Benjamin Dawe, the CCO, worked as the studio's creative director at EA Melbourne.

These founders bring with them a rich history of developing and managing renowned franchises like Need for Speed and Real Racing.

The company plans to extend its reach beyond traditional gaming, aiming to create a "digital ecosystem" that integrates racing fans and gamers through interactive experiences.

A new game is expected to debut in 2025, with additional collaborations and products on the horizon.

Donoghue stated, "With The Three Thousands, our ambition is to establish a pioneering digital automotive brand that uniquely combines racing, culture, and entertainment."

Kurian commented on the strategic advantages of operating in Australia, "Government incentives make it an ideal, cost-effective location, allowing us to craft world-class products within efficient budgets."

He expressed enthusiasm for the possibilities this brings, saying, "We're keen to develop new titles that leverage these benefits and redefine the boundaries of innovation."
