Playtika is expanding. It has signed an agreement to acquire the Israeli studio SuperPlay, known for mobile games Dice Dreams and Domino Dreams.

Dice Dreams

The terms of the deal are as follows:

  • Playtika will immediately transfer $700 million to SuperPlay as an advance and $50 million as a retention payment for employees;
  • Playtika will pay the studio an additional $1.25 billion if it achieves certain targets over the next three years;
  • The co-founders of SuperPlay, Gilad Almog and Eyal Netzer, who previously worked at Playtika, will continue to lead the studio;
  • The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2024.

Playtika informed investors that it sees great potential in SuperPlay. It noted that Dice Dreams surpassed the $100 million revenue threshold within 35 months of its release. Domino Dreams reached this milestone even faster — in just 20 months post-release. As of August 2024, the combined daily active audience for these titles averaged 1.7 million people.

SuperPlay was founded in 2019. Currently, it has 240 employees, including veterans from Rovio and PlayStudios.
