Media: The creators of Dave the Diver to gain independence
The developers of the marine adventure game Dave the Diver are preparing to leave their parent company, Nexon, according to The Korea Economic Daily, which cites sources. Instead of physically separating Mintrocket from Nexon, they plan to establish a new independent company.

It is reported that Nexon has supported the developers' decision. They also allegedly intend to invest an unspecified amount in their new studio.
Nexon and Mintrocket have not commented on The Korea Economic Daily's piece.
Mintrocket entered the market in 2022. From its very inception, the studio operated within Nexon, focusing on small innovative games for a global audience. Their first project, Dave the Diver, sold over 4 million copies by June 2024.
