The finalists for the 2024 GamesIndustry.biz Best Places to Work Awards UK have been announced
We are excited to announce the finalists for the special categories at the UK GamesIndustry.biz Best Places To Work Awards 2024.
NaturalMotion Games and Rocksteady have secured nominations across five categories. Rare has been shortlisted in three, while Playground Games, Playtonic, Sumo, King, and CCP are each nominated for two awards.
The finalists highlighted are for specific accolades recognizing excellence in various fields. Winners for these special awards, along with the main Best Places badge recipients, will be unveiled on Wednesday, September 18, during an event at the Royal Institution in London.
The ceremony is set to follow the HR Summit, which will also be held on the same day and at the same location. Further information is available here.
These categories celebrate remarkable achievements in tackling climate change, charity work, promoting workforce health, fostering diversity, and collaborating with educational bodies. Additionally, the awards will spotlight the UK gaming sector's HR Hero, a new category replacing the former 'Best Boss' award.
Over 100 UK-based game companies participated this year, each eligible for these special distinctions. Sponsorship is provided by Amiqus, Games London, Lighthouse Games, and Playground Games.

The event will also announce the recipient of the 2024 G Into Gaming Award, which honors a person who has made significant contributions to enhancing gender diversity in the gaming industry.
Lighthouse Games CEO Gavin Raeburn remarked, "Lighthouse Games is incredibly proud to sponsor the Large Company Category Award. Large companies play a pivotal role in driving the video game industry forward with their innovative capabilities and resources. This award celebrates the passion and dedication of these teams, and we are honoured to recognise and support their stellar contributions."
