"M.Video-Eldorado": GTA V is the most popular game on discs in Russia in the first half of 2024
The Russian retail chain "M.Video-Eldorado" shared information about which physical editions of games were most purchased by Russians in the first six months of 2024.

According to the company, demand for PlayStation 5 discs has increased in Russia. Most of the games sold in the first half of the year were for this console. The exact percentage and number of units sold were not specified. The second most popular were game editions for the PlayStation 4.
The top 10 best-selling physical editions of games for the half-year are as follows:
1. Grand Theft Auto V (PS5);
2. Grand Theft Auto V. Premium Edition (PS4);
3. Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate (PS5);
4. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4);
5. Mortal Kombat 1 (PS5);
6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS5);
7. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (PS4);
8. Hogwarts Legacy (PS5);
9. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (PS5);
10. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Game of the Year Edition (PS4).
Additionally, "M.Video-Eldorado" identified the best-selling franchises on discs from 2013 to 2024.
These were:
1. EA Sports FC (formerly FIFA) — 800 thousand copies sold;
2. Grand Theft Auto — 482 thousand copies sold;
3. Mortal Kombat — 368 thousand copies sold;
4. Assassin’s Creed — 306 thousand copies sold.
