The charity Take This, which focuses on mental health, is facing the possibility of closure
Take This, a charity focused on mental health, faces potential closure as revealed by its clinical director, Raffael Boccamazzo.
Boccamazzo highlighted in a blog post that the organization must secure $80,000 by the end of September to avoid shutting down by late 2024.
Earlier in the year, executive director Eve Crevoshay had discussed the charity's financial struggles, stating in February that a $200,000 deficit needed to be addressed by June.
"Despite our efforts to bridge that financial gap, we require substantial support," Boccamazzo mentioned. "Without your contributions, Take This and our vital programs will discontinue."
Boccamazzo emphasized the need for sustainable financial backing: "After meeting our immediate financial goal, ongoing support is crucial to ensure our important initiatives continue."
He added, "Much of our work is either not compensated or insufficiently funded, a common challenge in non-profit work."
Boccamazzo expressed the organization's commitment, stating, "Our dedication stems from our belief in delivering mental health resources and knowledge to the gaming community."
Details on how to assist Take This can be found in Boccamazzo's blog post.
