Bandai Namco has called off the Western release of Blue Protocol

Bandai Namco has decided to terminate the operation of its Japanese servers for Blue Protocol in January 2025. The company will also not release the game in Western regions as initially planned.

According to a statement on its official website, the collaboration with Amazon Games for publishing in Europe and North America has been called off. Bandai Namco conveyed disappointment, acknowledging the effort made but ultimately concluding it cannot "provide a service that satisfies all of you."

Japanese servers will cease operations on January 18, 2025, closing in just over a year and a half since its debut there.

Bandai Namco expressed gratitude for the partnership with Amazon Games during Blue Protocol's development. Despite the strong relationship, both parties regretted the decision to not bring the game to a global audience.
