Monster Hunter Wilds dominates the 2024 Gamescom Awards

Capcom's much-anticipated title, Monster Hunter Wilds, secured four accolades at this year's Gamescom Awards held last Friday, including Best Sony PlayStation Game and Best Announcement, as well as Most Epic and Most Entertaining categories. The game is slated for a 2025 release.

Little Nightmares 3 from Supermassive Games captured the Best Microsoft Xbox Game award and was also recognized for its visuals and audio. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 by Warhorse Studios won Best PC Game, while HoYoverse's Genshin Impact was honored as Best Mobile Game.

Despite the platform-specific categories being introduced back in 2011, the Best Nintendo Game Award was not presented this year because there were too few submissions. This marks the first occurrence of such a situation for the Nintendo Switch.

Inverge Studios' Creatures of Ava was awarded in the Games for Impact category, and Gentle Troll Entertainment's Tavern Talk was named Most Wholesome game.
